June 17, 2023 – Rural King recently purchased The Mall at Waycross in Waycross. The 338,181 SF mall sits on 31.62 AC at the corner of Jacksonville Highway and Hatcher Point Road. The Mall at Waycross, anchored by Belk, T.J.Maxx, Planet Fitness, and soon-to-be Rural King, is located adjacent to Walmart Supercenter within a prominent retail area along Jacksonville Highway. Rural King is also currently negotiating a lease with a national tenant for the remaining 65,427 SF of the former Sears box (adjacent to Planet Fitness), which, if signed, would fill all anchor spaces at the mall. This deal was completed in conjunction with Interstate Development Company as the Georgia-licensed broker for this transaction.
