Placer.ai reports that foot traffic for shopping centers is on the rise, with open-air shopping centers leading the trend at a 7.3% year-over-year increase. Placer.ai notes that if outlet malls and outdoor shopping centers successfully differentiate through strong dining, retail, and experiential offerings, then consumer visits will move beyond simple transactional trips.
